It’s possible to create a budget plan based on the general entry previously recorded. We suggest using this path for the non-operations elements, such as link bank commission, interests, etc.… So, all these elements are complex to make an internal forecast, and the amount is insignificant.

Generate budget

Go to: Budgeting> Periodic> Generate budget plan from general ledger

Here, select our date range regarding the forecasted transaction:

• Account type: select all.
• Filter: Add at least the posting layer as a filter. However, we can add additional filters, like the accounts’ number;
• Historical: We can ask to see all the transactions of the sum of them. We suggest setting “no”, in order to extract only the sum

Launch the generation. When D365FO has finished, we can see the budget planning proposition:
